**Asking $3125 shipped** Hello! This 50 year old Omega Seamaster De Ville was purchased new in 1975 in Europe by a family friend of mine so I’m very familiar with its history. The watch was sparsely worn, everything is original and, as you can see from the photos, it’s in excellent cosmetic condition. The case, dial, caseback and intricate mesh bracelet are all excellent. The original crystal is very clean for a watch this age, but does have some hairline stuff that you can see in the harshest direct sunlight. The watch sets and winds properly and is keeping good time within 20 secs a day, though it has not been serviced recently. The Omega bracelet fits up to a 7.15 inch wrist. Case is 33mm w the crown, 31.5 without the crown. Both the case and the bracelet are 14 karat solid gold. This thing is a rare specimen. Would make a great 50th birthday gift. **Asking $3125 shipped.** Happy to DM about it, and to FaceTime as well. Founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. He travelled throughout Europe selling his watches from Italy to Scandinavia by way of England, his chief market. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, troubled by irregular deliveries of questionable quality, abandoned the unsatisfactory assembly workshop system in favour of in-house manufacturing and total production control. Due to the greater supply of manpower, communications and energy in Bienne, the enterprise moved into a small factory in January 1880, then bought the entire building in December. Two years later the company moved into a converted spinning-factory in the Gurzelen district of Bienne, where headquarters are still situated today. Their first series-produced calibres, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous Omega calibre of 1894, would ensure the brand's marketing success.
