This watch was released in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the 9R Spring Drive movement, combining traditional artistry with cutting-edge horology. The 40mm stainless steel case features Grand Seiko’s signature Zaratsu polishing, giving it a mirror-like finish with exceptional sharpness and depth. The highlight of this model is its deep purple (can look blue depending on the light!) dial, which offers a mesmerizing "cloud" effect, symbolizing the vibrant hues of Japan. The power reserve indicator at 8 o’clock and smooth gliding seconds hand further emphasize the unique character of the Spring Drive movement. This was a limited run of 222 pieces in the Chinese market, but since the number 4 is considered unlucky in China, no pieces with the number 4 in them were produced, which makes this one of only 182 pieces in the world.
