1969 authentic Omega Geneve (136.041) with blue dial and Admiralty-style ghost hands on an Omega original rivet oyster-style bracelet.
Serviced in 2024 by a certain well-known Canadian watchmaker who specializes in vintage Omega, this manual wound 35mm mid-century modern gem is keeping very good time and is the perfect combination of a comfortable, legible yet stylish reliable timepiece from the golden age of Omega’s history.
The dial and hands are all original and have not been retouched or repainted.
The sleek mid-century modern stainless steel case is sleek and combines a brushed top and polished sides. The corners of the watch case are razor sharp suggesting that it has little or no history of refinishing/repolishing.
The quick-set date is operated by the signed push-pull crown and daily winding the crown is buttery smooth thanks to the recently serviced caliber 613 movement from Omega’s golden age of watch production. The original acrylic crystal has the Omega logo etched from the underside. The original Omega #11 bracelet has expanding rivet links and will fit wrists up to 6-3/4” in circumference and attach to the case with the correct 18mm 589 end links. Additional links can be added by use of screw pins and there is one removable link.
Packaged in an original Omega service box the watch includes a spare vegan leather blue strap with orange stitching that nicely matches the dial and hands.

Founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. He travelled throughout Europe selling his watches from Italy to Scandinavia by way of England, his chief market. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, troubled by irregular deliveries of questionable quality, abandoned the unsatisfactory assembly workshop system in favour of in-house manufacturing and total production control. Due to the greater supply of manpower, communications and energy in Bienne, the enterprise moved into a small factory in January 1880, then bought the entire building in December. Two years later the company moved into a converted spinning-factory in the Gurzelen district of Bienne, where headquarters are still situated today. Their first series-produced calibres, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous Omega calibre of 1894, would ensure the brand's marketing success.
