For sale today is my Alain Silberstein Krono A with the F. Piguet 1185 movement. Alain Silberstein is an architect and watch designer known for his avant garde and colorful watches and clocks. This is an early example of his work and dates back to the 1990s. This piece features all of the usual Alain Silberstein design ques with its oddly shaped, and colorful hands, straight lugs, and cylindrical mid case. The odd case shape gives the unisex 32mm case and wears great even on my 6.75 in wrist. Externally, the bead blasted case is in decent condition with some normal wear throughout. Some scratching on the AR coating of the crystal can be seen. Internally, this piece houses the highly sought after F. Piguet 1185 automatic column wheel vertical clutch ultra thin movement. At its release, the F. Piguet 1185 is the thinnest automatic chronograph movement ever made. It is used as a base caliber for both AP and vacheron for the Royal Oak and Overseas Chronographs respectively. The watch is keeping reasonable time with acceptable amplitude; however, a service is recommended due to its age. I can service the watch at an additional cost prior to dispatching.
