[WTS] 1976 Casiotron X-1S world time chronograph
Here we have my 1976 Casiotron X-1S S14, one of Casio’s first watches and one of the (if not THE) world’s first true multifunction LCD watches. An incredible piece of history from an era where a digital watch cost more than an Omega Speedmaster. This particular example has been with me since 2020, during which it has run flawlessly. The only real issue with this one is that it was sold to me missing links. This was never an issue for me as I have a smaller wrist, but is worth noting. At its largest it will fit approximately a 6.75 inch wrist. Spare links for this bracelet do come up from time to time, and as I write this there is currently an entire full length bracelet for this model for sale on eBay. Aside from that, it’s in great shape. Obviously has signs of wear over its 49 year life, but the case lines are sharp, brushing is crisp and original, and the black painted border around the display is still clear (usually the first thing to go on these). This was a very high quality (and high priced) item when new, and you can tell when handling it. The case is hefty, the bracelet links are solid and the finishing is still impressive. So here’s your chance to own a piece of history. Letting this one go for $150 CONUS only. I prefer Zelle but take PayPal as well. Let me know if you have any questions!
