This is a notable watch in that it's the first automatic Grand Seiko to be sold. This was emphasized in the crown being recessed. The quickset date works perfectly. I do not have a watch timer, but I did run the watch over a 36 hour period and found it to be +5s over that time -- the watch is running quite well. I do not have any service history, unfortunately. I purchased this watch about a year ago, and have worn it just a couple times. The pictures I have posted are from the dealer I originally bought the watch from as I believe they are still indicative of the condition the watch is in, along with two recent pictures, one timestamp and another that might have a bit better resolution of the face of the watch. The sunburst dial is in beautiful shape. The case is in relatively good shape, especially for a watch about to have its 60th birthday. The lugs do see some slight softness, but in general it is in great shape. For the future buyer, please note that the quickset is not to be used between 10PM-2AM as it may damage the mechanism -- if you need to change the date during this time, use the crown to move time forward, set the date then adjust the time as needed.
